
August was a quieter month for real estate across the Cornerstone market, with sales reaching their lowest August level in more than a decade. New listings were also unusually low, as affordability concerns and broader economic uncertainty continue to have some buyers and sellers taking a wait-and-see approach.
The upside? With fewer homes coming to market, benchmark prices have remained relatively steady, holding near early 2021 levels.
As we head into September, we typically see activity pick back up with the start of the fall market, and national forecasts are pointing toward stronger activity through the remainder of 2026.
