June is National Homeownership month. So, what’s that all about? Basically, it boils down to preaching the benefits of homeownership, and why everyone should own a home. Because, pride in homeownership is good for not only the individual, but also the local community, and nationally.
Now, not everyone should own a home. Some people aren’t cut out for it, or it wouldn’t make sense for their lifestyle.
But, there are certainly people who would make great homeowners, and truly benefit from it, but just aren’t sure if it’s all it’s cracked up to be.
As a Real Estate Broker, I’m given suggested talking points to explain why homeownership is so important. But that’s coming from the industry and the government. And it’s being delivered by people within the industry who stand to make money…real estate agents, mortgage lenders, etc. Not exactly objective. Or, at least it doesn’t necessarily get taken as objective. So, I’m reaching out to homeowners to see what homeownership means to you.
What do you love about it? How does it make your life better? Maybe you could provide some words of wisdom for those who aren’t yet homeowners…
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Write a quick comment if you have a minute…Your thoughts will mean more to them than any that come out of the mouths of the industry. And I want to give them as objective a perspective as possible!
